Despite their ancient origins, the structures remain distinct and captivating. Built predominantly from red stone and rock, the first entrance welcomes visitors with a grand statue of Manicka Vinayagar, known for his gentle expression and round belly. The adjacent hall, adorned with intricate paintings of Lord Ganesha, can hold a large crowd. Once a strategic stronghold for empires during wars, the fort offers breathtaking panoramic views from its summit, sure to leave visitors in awe.

The Rock Fort Temple in Trichy celebrates major festivals like Vinayaka Chaturthi with grand processions for Lord Ganesha, and Panguni Uthiram, marking the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati. During Karthigai Deepam, the temple glows with oil lamps, while Sivarathri is observed with night-long prayers and chanting for Lord Shiva, attracting numerous devotees.
